Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM) PublishingTruLogic develops Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs and ETMs) using our own Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) products, such as TruViewTM, along with in-house custom programming. These IETMs use the latest technologies and international standards to allow maximum functionality and flexibility of SGML/XML. The IETM can then be integrated into existing customer unique systems with ease. The majority of our IETMs are viewable through Internet Explorer - something nearly every desktop computer already has loaded. Our DataAggregator® Framework provides a secure environment from which to run the IETM. It adds a layer of security by blocking access to internet resources while allowing the economical use of an existing web browser engine to render the data for display. Our systems are easy to install and use - and a degree in computer science isn't required. The IETMs can run stand-alone, across a network, or through your web-server. Our systems offer a tremendous amount of functionality without the requirement for expensive software plug-ins. We offer functionality such as:
Many of our more advanced features are not discussed here. Please contact us for additional information. TruLogic has developed a process for integrating Rapid Action Changes (RACs) into the IETM. The data is incorporated - meaning the user doesn't link to an external document to see this important information. RACs can be distributed electronically and are easily added to the existing IETM. In most cases, RACs can be developed and distributed within hours - making sure the technician has the required information as quickly as possible. Users are notified that a RAC exists by the use of an icon on the opening library screen. While browsing the document, all data is incorporated appropriately and the user is essentially looking at a new version of the document. We also have the capability of updating IETM systems and publications using certified FIPS 140-2 secure electronic transfer at any desired frequency (quarterly, monthly, or daily). This ensures technicians have up-to-date information and eliminates the need for change packages due to rapid distribution.
